It is software that listens to a live conversation, detects the questions being asked and prepares short guidance while the conversation continues. AI Interview Assistant does this on your computer, from the audio you select, text from the window you choose and the role, job description and notes you add. It produces talking points and response outlines, not finished answers, and it does not replace your own knowledge.

It transcribes the audio sources you selected and watches the transcript, and the text read from your selected window, for questions. When it finds one it shows the detected question and updates it if the interviewer adds new constraints. Detection can miss or misread a question: you can regenerate the guidance or type a question yourself.

Yes. You select one window, monitor or screen region, and the app reads its text on your PC with Windows text recognition. That text becomes context for the guidance. No audio file is written to your computer, and our servers do not store interview content. Short audio segments go through our service to the speech provider to be turned into text. Saved history is optional, starts off, and keeps text only. Read the privacy policy for what we relay to our providers.

To generate guidance, the detected question, recent transcript lines, text read from your selected window, the context you wrote and anything you pinned go through our service to an external AI provider, and the guidance comes back the same way. Stealth Mode is designed to keep the AI Interview Assistant guidance window outside supported screen-sharing and capture configurations. The app asks Windows to leave its own windows out of screen capture, so sharing software that captures through Windows is designed not to include them while they stay visible to you. Time counts while an interview session runs in the desktop app; paused time does not. Each plan shows the interview time and sessions it includes per month, and your account page shows the minutes remaining and when they reset. Unused time does not roll over.

Yes. AI can misread a question, miss context or state details that are wrong or out of date. Treat every suggestion as a starting structure, verify the facts, and answer in your own words. Do not say anything you cannot support from your own knowledge and experience.

No. Rules differ between employers, interviewers, platforms and assessments, and some forbid AI assistance. Check the rules that apply to you and use the app only where it is allowed. Read the authorized-use policy.
