What the app does

On Windows, AI Interview Assistant asks the operating system to exclude its own windows from screen capture: the main window, the always-on-top overlay and the app's dialogs. The windows stay fully visible to you on your display. Screen-sharing and recording software that goes through Windows' own capture leaves them out.

  • The exclusion is applied whenever the app opens a window. In the current version there is no setting to turn it off.
  • The overlay has no taskbar button and does not appear in Alt+Tab.
  • If Windows rejects the exclusion setting, the app falls back to one that shows the window as a blank area in capture instead.

What it depends on

The result depends on the sharing or recording software, your Windows version, your graphics drivers and your display setup.

We have not published test results for particular meeting apps, app versions, Remote Desktop, virtual machines or setups with several monitors, so we make no promise about them.

What it does not cover

  • Anything outside the computer: a camera pointed at your screen, a capture card or video splitter, or another person looking at your display.
  • Your computer itself. The app still appears in the list of running programs, and software on your computer that you are required to allow can still see it.
