Using your account
Everything the account page shows, section by section: your devices and the device limit, AI credits and usage, your referral link and support requests.
The account page
Open your account page from the header once you are signed in (see Install and sign in). Signed out, it sends you to the sign-in page and brings you back. The sections, from the top:
- Subscription: your plan, its status, the plan chooser when you have no subscription, and the button to manage your subscription, invoices and payment method. Explained in Plans and billing.
- AI credits: what is left of this month's allowance, and your recent AI requests. Shown for plans that include AI.
- Invite friends: your personal link and what came of it.
- Get AI Interview Assistant: the Microsoft Store badge, to install the app.
- Devices: the computers the app is signed in on, and how many your plan allows.
- Your data: download a data export, delete your account. See Privacy and your data.
- Support: send a request and read the replies.
- Sign out: ends this browser session.
If your email address is not verified, a note next to it on the Subscription section says so.
Devices and the device limit
Each computer where you sign in to the desktop app is a device. The app registers it with a name that includes the computer's name, like "Windows desktop (YOUR-PC)", and its version, and the Devices section lists every device that is signed in: its name, the app version and when it was last seen.
- The limit. Your plan allows a number of active devices at a time, and, while your plan is active, the section says how many ("Your plan allows up to … active devices").
- When you reach it. If every place is used, a new computer is not added to the list. Press Sign out next to a computer you no longer use, confirm, then restart the app on the new computer so it registers. See Device limit reached.
- Signing a device out here. The confirmation reads "Sign out … ? The desktop app on that device will need to sign in again." Nothing on that computer is deleted. The app there shows its plain welcome screen the next time you start it.
- Signing out in the app. Signing out in the desktop app ends its session on that computer, but does not remove the computer from this list. Use Sign out here to free its place.
Signing out of the website only ends the website session in that browser. Desktop sessions are managed under Devices.
AI credits and usage
AI is included in your plan, with a monthly allowance counted in credits. Both the question the app sends and the answer you get use credits. The AI credits section is shown for plans that include AI, and has:
- Remaining this month, as "X of Y", with a bar.
- Used this month, and Held for requests in progress while a request is running.
- Credits reset: the date the allowance starts again. Unused credits do not roll over.
- Recent AI requests: when each was made, its status, the credits it used and the tokens in and out. Tokens marked "estimated" were not reported by the AI provider.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| In progress | The request is running. Credits are held for it until it finishes. |
| Completed | An answer was delivered and its credits were used. |
| Failed | The request failed. You are not charged unless an answer was delivered. |
| Canceled | The request was canceled before it finished. |
| Released | The request did not finish in time, so the credits held for it were given back. |
The content of your requests is never stored, so only these usage details can be shown. If the section says "Your current plan does not include AI credits" your plan has no AI allowance; if it says "AI is temporarily unavailable. Try again shortly." the service is not accepting AI requests at the moment.
Speech has its own monthly allowance, separate from AI credits: up to 30 hours of transcription and 200,000 characters read aloud. Speech done by Windows on your computer uses none of it. See Speech.
Your referral link
The Invite friends section gives you a personal link to share with friends who might find AI Interview Assistant useful. The first time you open the section, the service makes your code. It is random, belongs only to you, and never changes. The link is shown in a box with a Copy link button; if your browser does not allow copying, the link is selected so you can press Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on a Mac).
What the link records
You see totals only, never names or emails. The section shows three counts:
- Times your link was opened. One for each browser that opens it, counted again only if that browser has forgotten the link (for example after clearing cookies) or has opened another customer's link since. Link previews and automated visits are left out.
- Accounts created through it. Accounts created after someone opened your link.
- Purchases through it. The payments of those accounts that still stand, the first and each renewal. A payment that is fully refunded or charged back stops counting; a partial refund counts for what is left.
Until someone opens your link, the section says so and tells you to copy the link and send it to a friend.
How a sign-up is attributed
- When someone opens your link, the website keeps your link's code in a cookie in that browser for about 60 days.
- If they create an account in that browser while the cookie is there, the account is recorded as created through your link. This is decided only when the account is created.
- An account that already exists is never attributed, and your own link never counts for your own account.
- Someone who opens your link on one device and signs up on another is not attributed, because the cookie lives in the browser that opened it.
Nothing is paid out automatically. A referral changes no one's price, and no discount, credit or email follows it.
If a commission applies to your link, the section also shows Your commission. It says what percentage you earn of what the friends you invite pay, before tax, and lists Friends paid, before tax, Waiting for review, Approved, not paid yet and Paid out. Each payment adds a commission that a person reviews before it is paid out, and if a payment is refunded or disputed, that part is taken back. If a commission was switched off after you earned some, the section says that new payments do not earn one right now and keeps showing what you have earned. If there is no commission block, no commission applies to your link and none has been earned.
Support requests
In the Support section you can send a request and keep the conversation in one place. Choose a Topic (Technical, Billing, Account, Privacy or Other), write a subject and a message, and press Send. Please do not include passwords, API keys or interview content.
Your requests are listed with a status. Press View conversation to read the replies and answer.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Open | Your request was received. |
| Waiting for support | You replied and support has not answered yet. |
| Waiting for your reply | Support has asked you something. Reply in the conversation. |
| Resolved | Support considers it solved. If you still need help, reply and it is reopened. |
| Closed | It can no longer be answered. Send a new request if you still need help. |
If you cannot sign in, email support@aiinterviewassistant.com instead. More ways to get help are in Getting help.
Signing out
Sign out at the bottom of the account page, or in the header, ends this browser session and takes you to the home page. It does not sign out the desktop app. To sign a computer out of the app from here, use the Devices section.
